Dow President and Chief Financial Officer Howard Ungerleider is a vocal advocate for a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace for all employees. Since his appointment to the position in 2014, female direct reports to the President and CFO increased from 0% to 35% in 2020, and Finance Leadership Team female representation increased from 13% to 40% in 2020. Ungerleider serves as the executive sponsor for the Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN) – Dow’s employee resource group for the equality and advancement of women in the workplace. In this role, Ungerleider has helped provide a framework to share experiences, find mentors, seek professional development, and find routes to senior leadership. His work also includes supporting Dow’s partnership with Forte, sponsoring the EY POWERUP program to empower women, hosting MARC Workshops in partnership with Catalyst to engage men as allies, and championing Sponsor to Success to advance women and U.S. minority talent development.
Through the WIN+5 program, Eunice has provided mentoring and coaching support for women across functions at Dow. Through these engagements, women leaders have been able to position themselves for broader accountability in their roles and for promotions. Eunice has been a panelist and keynote speaker for Dow WIN’s partnership with EY, EY PowerUp, sharing experiences as a successful African American woman in business. Beyond WIN+5, Eunice mentors many women in the business, and was appointed MBA Leadership Development Program Director last year, focusing on accessing top talent from prominent MBA schools and diversity conferences. Among many other high-profile speaking engagements, Eunice spoke at FAMU College of Engineering’s Freshman and Sophomore Engineering Program, with an emphasis on what it takes to be a successful woman in engineering. Consistent speaker on special panels for women in business from student leaders at the FAMU School of Business to GreenBiz women leaders in sustainability.
Jane is president of Dow’s Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure, one of three business operating segments within Dow. With annual sales of $13 Billion, this segment provides innovative solutions to global markets including infrastructure, consumer, construction, mobility and energy. As a member of Sadara Chemical Company’s Board of Directors and the first and only woman board member, Jane advocates for female representation in the workforce. She is also the Executive Sponsor of Dow’s Veteran’s Network and the former Executive Sponsor of the Women’s Inclusion Network. A true champion for gender equality, Jane has taken part in executive-level industry panels, diversifying recruitment talent pipelining and has advanced the development of service members and veterans through providing education and community service opportunities. In her position as the first woman to Co-Chair the Board of Directors at the Alliance to Save Energy, Jane has been recognized for her ongoing contributions to sustainability and diversity.
